What followed

The situation

The approach
The Building AI Projects track allowed them to choose this as their capstone problem. Their mentor worked with them to scope it realistically, identify suitable data, and document each decision in a way that could be reviewed and critiqued.
What followed
The prototype they built was presented to their product team and informed a decision to test collaborative filtering in their recommendation engine. The mentor's final review identified two limitations in the model they had not noticed — both of which they addressed before presenting.
